In the case of use on a YAG laser, Fiber laser or diode laser, the PD2000 system integrates directly in place of the CCD camera often present on the focusing head used on this type of laser.

The camera used by Prometec is a CMOS camera with characteristics specifically developed for the needs of Prometec. Specific areas of the sensor can be programmed so that the latter only "monitors" a certain area or only analyzes certain events. This reduces the risk of false defects. This sensor covers a spectral area ranging from 400 nm (near UV) to 900 nm (near IR). This sensitivity allows the system to detect a wide range of events and calculate others.
